The highly anticipated final conference of the TEHIC project will take place on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th May 2025, organised by the University of Gothenburg and the Centre for Critical Heritage Studies in collaboration with the Centre for Tourism.
Under the theme “Training and Professionalisation in Heritage Interpretation: Challenges and Future Directions”, this two-day international event brings together a rich and diverse programme, uniting more than 40 speakers from across the globe. Participants can expect insightful discussions, knowledge exchange, and forward-thinking perspectives that aim to shape the future of heritage interpretation in Europe and beyond.

Keynote Sessions include:
- The Erasmus+ Project “Towards a Heritage Interpretation Curriculum” (TEHIC): Results and Reflections – presented by all TEHIC partners, featuring the launch of the Best Practice Book, Curriculum, and MOOC.
- Interpreting Gothenburg: Exploring City Heritage and Shipyard Through VR – Myrstrand, Studio Jox
- If It Ain’t Broken, Break It: Being Creative with Interpretation – Linn Björk, Marta Gustafsson, Jessica Bergström (Innovatum Science Center and Cultural Administration, Västra Götaland Region)
- Development of Nature Interpretation in Sweden and Beyond: Reflections from 15 Years with the Swedish Centre for Nature Interpretation – Eva Sandberg, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
- What Museum Studies and Heritage Interpretation Studies Do (or Don’t) Have in Common – Darko Babić & Helena Stubliz, University of Zagreb
